An art minor in college, Jen constantly created and sold things as a sideline as she dutifully climbed the corporate ladder after graduation. While positions in graphics and art direction got her closer to the world she loved, it wasn't until one of her advertising accounts came up for sale that she found her true calling. Maxing out credit cards she struck a deal to purchase the small art & gift store and Artifacts Design Studio was born. For twenty years she has developed new techniques, created new products and traveled to art shows all over the Western states to meet the people whose homes they will grace. "The best part of being an artist is seeing the joy a piece brings to someone whether they are purchasing it for themselves or as a gift for someone they love. There is no better form of recognition in the world."
With partner Eric she began incorporating copper into their glass art, developing a style rich in color, texture and wonderful contrasts. His craftsmanship is showcased in the company's many unique stands, tables and wall pieces.
Their private studio is located in the scenic Pacific Northwest, just across the river from Portland, Oregon.
